Observation/Application: A few years ago when I lead groups to Mexico we would rent big 15 passenger vans. With the vans we got one set of keys. Now it was very important that these keys were never lost. What did we do? We wore them around our neck.  If the keys were ever given to someone the one who had the keys would pass them off by saying “I who was the keeper of the keys is now passing the keys to (Name)” The person receiving the keys then said, “I (name) is now the keeper of the keys” The necklace of keys would then be placed around his neck. The ritual was lame but we never lost the keys by wearing them around our neck. Solomon is saying don’t let love get lost in your life bind it around your neck.Then its as if he says here’s something that’s even better put it around your heart. The neck is external for all to see the heart is hidden. It’s what drives us and it’s our motivator. Let’s try and be motivated today by the Christ’s love!
