"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud"

Observation/Application: This is the essence of Beautiful Day.  The question for us is how do we accomplish this?  For us it’s hard work by going out and serving the community.  This quote by Erwin McManus came across by desk this morning from his book The Barbarian Way.

“When the church becomes an institution, people are nothing more than volunteers to be recruited.  When the church is a movement, our stewardship becomes the unleashing of our God given gifts, talents, and passions.  My goal is not to cast a vision that everyone buys into, but to create a visional community where everyone who enters in begins to have wild and God-sized dreams and visions.  There is a price to pay, of course, when you choose this particular path: you end up with an unruly barbarian tribe.

Please understand that as we seek to live in harmony you are not volunteers but a part of the greatest movement ever!  A movement ordained of God through the church to show love, compassion, and grace that was demonstrated on the cross 2000 years ago.  Let us be a church with God-sized dreams and visions!

Prayer: Father, I pray for Beautiful Day that it would be a launching pad for the dreams and visions of your people to ignite our city to seek and honor you our King, Savior and Lord.
